Support railway material handling and equipment movements from the Calgary area.
About the role
Boom truck operators keep rail, ties, turnout components, and machinery moving between the Crossfield yard, suppliers, and job sites across the region, and handle material on site with grapple and magnet attachments.
Based from the Calgary area with regular runs to job sites across Alberta and into neighbouring provinces. Early starts and some overnight travel during the season.

Typical work
- Prepare the truck and attachments for the assigned work
- Coordinate loading, unloading, and material handling with the crew
- Maintain equipment checks and the required operating records
- Plan loads, tie-downs, and routes for oversize material
- Support hi-rail operations where the truck is rail-equipped
What to bring
- Class 3 licence details and relevant driving experience
- Boom-truck, grapple, or magnet experience
- Applicable lifting qualifications and safety training
