Not for trackman or seasonal track maintainer roles. Construction, agricultural, or other outdoor experience with a safety-first attitude is a good start. Railway rules and equipment training happen on the job. Supervisor, foreman, and operator roles require relevant railway experience.
Most work is on job sites across Alberta, with programs in British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Crews stage from Crossfield, north of Calgary, and typically work rotations away from home during the season.
